I was playing the game as the detective, messing with the grapple,then I found a unidentified body so I see it has Dna so of course I scanned it, so I grapple to the guy a.k.a. Bear D00d, so kill him and I get slayed by Maverick I didn't even have a report, but that doesn't matter, the reason why i got slayed was because I didn't say Kos before killing him, "but i had dna" I said
Then he says "You have to say kos before" killing him."
Then I choose to right this report.
Do you have to say kos before killing some even though you have proof?

You don't HAVE to call KOS before killing someone if you have proof

Calling a KOS is more or less so you on't wind up with a bullet in your back right after, or so if you die, other players can still go after them. You don't need to call it out if you have the proof, like tuktuk said.

Kos isnt needed for anything. It's just a way to show that you're "innocent" and not a T. You can kos or not kos without DNA?
