NO YOU DON'T HUNT UNICORNS AND YOU DEFINITELY DON'T EAT THEM!!! Unicorns are magical, wonderful creatures that you can't catch or hunt because they only go near those who are pure of heart.
You can eat the cupcakes though.

Are you a cave woman? Nobody needs to be close to kill something, just grab a rifle, shoot it, skin it, gut it, dry it, grill it, smoke it, cure it or use it as bait.

I'm guessing you'd be surprised how poisonous household items are, you just need to keep it on a place on the dart where it can enter the bloodstream, poisonous enough to kill before they can get treatment and a big enough dose to kill which vary due to weight. If you don't get the right amount you might be able to kill them if it gives them nausea, fatigue, stomach aches or something to stop them/slow them down although it might take a few hours.
