So I'm pretty sure that a majority of the server community is well aware that the server will be shutting down within the start of 2017. I'm here to make a solution to keep the server up and going. If there is no way that Backstab himself will agree with this thread, that is absolutely fine and I hope to see everyone another time, we had a great run. That aside my solution is what if Backstab chooses to give the server to one of the most responsible, respectable, and reasonable mod/admin. I have suggested this idea on the server itself and the community that was playing at the time thought it was a great idea too. I would prefer feedback and constructive criticism about the idea itself.

You forget almost everyone has already asked backstab before he decided to keep it going he doesn't want to give up his passwords (not that I would either)

Backstab isn't going to give out stuff that has sensitive information such as passwords and I wouldn't either. Basicly every add he bought with scriptfodder would require us having access to his steam account, big no-no. We were given 6 months to continue to enjoy the server, that is good enough. The server's community HAS already shrunk massively in the past year (You used to have to wait to connect because there was 24/24 players often) and will most likely continue to do so as we go on. I don't think there will be enough active players left by February to have keeping the server open even a semi-valid option.

I remember Fox had said he was interested in creating a new server when this was first brought up? If that is still on the table I see that as the only real 'solution'.
This community doesn't have to dissolve if the forums can stay up, I might go hunting for other TTT servers that don't suck. If anyone has interest in establishing a new TTT meeting ground on an existing server, I would be up for that.
Or we could revive Kill Fun Yeah. Oh how I miss KFY....RIP Walter.
